6-function control enables you to easily maintain this filter pump system with settings for normal filtering, backwash, rinse, recirculate, drain and close system.
This sand filter pool pump filters 2,650 gph (10,031 L/hr) of water per hour.
This Intex sand filter pump is best suited for above ground pools 18’ and larger in diameter with a water capacity up to 21,200 gallons (80,250 L), however it will work with smaller Intex above ground pools with the addition of hose adapters.
Two hose adapters are included, allowing this sand filter pump to work with smaller Intex above ground pools by coupling the pump's 1.5" diameter hose fittings to a smaller pool's 1.25" diameter valves.
The included hoses have an inside diameter of 1.5”. Pools not manufactured by Intex and non-standard pools may require plumbing adapters which may be purchased at your local hardware or pool store.
This low maintenance sand filter is very easy to operate and maintain. Simply set the daily timer for automatic hassle-free management. The timer has daily cycle settings of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12 hours. The size of your pool will determine the sand filter pump's daily cleaning period. Refer to the sand filter pump's operating manual for your pool's daily cleaning cycle requirements.
The Intex above ground pool sand filter pump includes a strainer basket that automatically collects most of your pool's larger floating debris. This will prolong the life of the pump’s sand media and the sand filter pump itself.
The included automatic strainer works in conjunction with the sand filter pump and you can attach an Intex deluxe pool vacuum to pick up heavier debris on the pool's bottom. We carry Intex deluxe pool maintenance kits that make it easy to keep your pool sparkling clean.
This sand filter pump has the added safety feature of a built-in GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) that will immediately shut the unit off if needed to protect people from injury due to electric shock.
The Intex above ground pool sand filter pump conforms to safety certifications and listings by UL and CSA and is rated 120 volt AC.
This sand filter pool pump uses number 20 silica sand, also called 0.45 to 0.85 mm (0.018 to 0.033 inches) with a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75.
This pool sand filtration pump has a 2 year limited warranty from the manufacturer, Intex®. Any warranty claim must be submitted to the manufacturer. You will still need to chlorinate your above ground pool's water and we strongly recommend the Intex 54601E automatic pool chlorine generator because it is very efficient (you'll never have to buy chlorine again!) and compatible with any Intex above ground pool or any Intex above ground pool filter pump with a flow rate of 800 gph or more.
